Starting a New Project
After signing in to your MyWebAR account, you'll find yourself on the Home page of your dashboard.

This welcoming space provides general information about augmented reality, including the latest platform updates, inspiration from other creators, and helpful tips to get you started. Take a moment to explore this information - it's designed to spark your creativity and help you understand the possibilities of AR.
When you're ready to begin creating your own augmented reality experiences, look to the left side of your screen. There you'll find the navigation menu that serves as your compass throughout the platform.

Locate and click on the Projects tab in this menu. This will bring you to your projects gallery, where all your existing and future creations will live.
The Create New Project button is your gateway to bringing new augmented reality ideas to life. When you're ready to begin your creative journey, simply click this button to start the project creation process.
The platform will then guide you through selecting the type of augmented reality experience you want to create. MyWebAR offers several options tailored to different needs - from product visualizations that let customers see items in their own space, to interactive educational experiences, engaging marketing campaigns, and much more.

The available types of projects include:

  • AR on a Flat Image: attach augmented reality content to a custom flat image. This type of experience allows you to augment any type of printed media, product packaging, marketing materials, clothing, accessories and more.

  • AR on a Curved Image: attach augmented reality content to curved images. To create a curved image experience you need to upload an undistorted (uncurved) design of your label into the platform. It will be automatically turned into a cylinder. This type of experience allows you to add digital content to bottle labels, coffee cups, cans and other cylinder-shaped objects.

  • AR in the Real World: display augmented reality content on any flat surface of the real world without any images or location anchors. This type of experience allows you to design product previews, bring characters to life, create holograms and more.

  • Object Tracking: attach augmented reality content to physical 3D objects, such as toys and figurines, consumer electronics, industrial equipment and more. To create an object tracking experience you need to upload a model of your real-world object to the platform as a target. You can use a production-ready model or scan the real object using one of the photogrammetry apps.

  • Face Filters and Effects: design face effects, masks and AR try-ons for hats, glasses, headsets and more.

  • AR on a QR Code: display augmented reality content over printed or on-screen QR codes. With this type of augmented reality project a QR code is used to launch your experience and the same code also works as a marker the digital content is attached to in AR.

After selecting your AR experience type, you will be redirected to the MyWebAR no-code editor.

Designing Your Experience
MyWebAR's no-code editor makes creating AR experiences easy and intuitive, even for users with no coding experience. With a visual drag-and-drop interface, you can build and edit your AR projects in a user-friendly way.

The objects panel one the left side allows you to add different types of content to the scene of your experience, including images, videos, 3D models, sounds, text, shapes and light sources.

You can start by adding one of the sample models from the MyWebAR library.
You can also upload your own files from your computer, or import 3D models from Sketchfab using the build-in integration.
Once the you've added an object to the scene of your AR experience, you can change their position, location and scale using the toolbox in the top right corner of the 3D space.
Additionally, you can add actions to your objects, customize their settings and change the position, rotation and scale more precisely using the right side Properties panel.
Whenever you add a 3D model to your scene, the system automatically applies a Play 3D Animation on Start action to the object.

This means if your 3D file contains pre-built animations, the platform will automatically play the first animation in the sequence (technically referred to as "Index 0") when a user launches your AR experience.
Looking to design more advanced experiences?

If you're a professional developer, try out the MyWebAR Code Editor - a powerful tool that allows you to use three.js code in your projects to add functionality not currently available in the no-code version.

Previewing and Testing
Once you've finished your project, click on the Publish button in the editor's top navigation bar. This will bring your work to life and generate its unique QR code that users can scan to launch your experience.

You can download the QR code and add it to the design of your product or share the direct link of your AR experience in a message, on your social media page or your website.
